![]() ![]() GameMaker: Studio 1.4 is packed with new features, making it the most powerful GameMaker environment to build your game in. Do keep in mind, however, that while GM:S 1.4 support for both features has gone live, it’s in a state of open beta. Unless you feel like taking advantage of the newly added GameMaker: Player, the “one stop shop” for GM:S games, or GameMaker: Marketplace, where you’ll find any manner of GM:S resources, of course. No need to bust out that credit card if you’re already a licensed GameMaker: Studio (GM:S) developer. Oh and the latter just received a significant update, with the release of 1.4! New features include iOS 8 support along with the addition of Marketplace, Player, and a bunch of additional export options. Between Unity, Unreal Engine 4, RPG Maker and GameMaker: Studio, to name but a few, aspiring game developers definitely aren’t short on engine options.
